Looking for help with the tool itself?

We did not build Binwalk, so we cannot fix bugs in the software or change how it behaves. For getting started, the workflow guide and the FAQ on the home page are the best starting points, and the install section covers Linux, macOS, Docker and Windows (WSL). If you have found a genuine bug or want to request a feature in the tool, that belongs with the project maintainers on GitHub - the About page points you to the official project.
